This presentation will explore the projects of Lauren Fournier’s Fermenting Feminism and Aga Pokrywka’s Ferment Radio to uncover the theme of “social fermentation” that links them. We will delve into how “social fermentation” emerges as a key concept in both endeavors and further shape this idea using participatory methods.
Lauren Fournier, associated with Fermenting Feminism, explores fermentation's intersections with feminist theory. Aga Pokrywka, behind Ferment Radio, merges art and science through fermentation, focusing on participatory explorations. Their work collectively advances the transformative potential of fermentation in cultural and theoretical contexts.
Visual artist Byungseo Yoo (Fermentation Friends) navigates the shift from wild to social fermentation with Eco-Transpedagogy, creating participatory art focused on planetary concerns. His international exhibitions foster ephemeral communities and ecological dialogue.

Nous approfondirons la façon dont la ‹ fermentation sociale › émerge comme un concept fondamental dans ces deux tentatives, tout en modelant cette idée à travers des méthodes participatives
Lauren Fournier, associée au « féminisme fermentant », explore les croisements entre fermentation et théories féministes. Aga Pokrywka, avec son projet Ferment Radio, associe art et science à travers la fermentation, se concentrant sur des explorations participatives. Leur travail fait avancer collectivement le potentiel transformateur de la fermentation dans des contextes culturels et théoriques.
L'artiste visuel Byungseo Yoo (Fermentation Friends) navigue entre la fermentation sauvage et la fermentation sociale avec l'éco-transpédagogie, créant un art participatif axé sur les préoccupations planétaires. Ses expositions internationales favorisent les communautés éphémères et le dialogue écologique.
