Première exposition collective du collectif Kimera à l'Espace Dukat!
Artistes: Ankita Das, Vincent Grange, Guillaume Martin-Taton, Maude Renevier, Tanguy Troubat, Elisa Bonami (artiste externe invitée)
FR: “Popote” – qu’est-ce que l’action de faire table commune ? Se réunir autour d’un repas simple, afin d’échanger et interroger ce qui nous entoure ? La première exposition de groupe du Collectif Kimera à l’Espace Dukat explore notre rapport à la nourriture et les rituels qui l’accompagnent.
Elle porte un regard critique sur la cuisine, interroge son histoire et crée de nouveaux usages, qui favorisent un rapport collectif à la production et à la consommation des repas.
En voulant restaurer un temps long aux moments de partage, les artistes invité.e.x.s puisent dans des souvenirs individuels et collectifs, et proposent des rituels qui laissent place à la rencontre, la discussion et la rêverie. Au travers d’objets, installations spatiales et performances, Popote célèbre et prône la poésie du quotidien.
EN: ‘Popote’ - what does it mean to eat together? Gathering around a simple meal to discuss and question our surroundings? Collective Kimera’s first group exhibition at Espace Dukat explores our relationship with food and the rituals that accompany it.
It takes a critical look at food-based practices and spaces, questioning their history, creating new ways of doing things and encouraging a collective relationship with the production and consumption of meals.
With the aim to foster and practice moments of sharing, the artists draw on individual and collective memories and propose rituals that leave room for discussions and reflections. Through objects, spatial installations and performances, Popote celebrates and advocates the poetry of the everyday.
