En partenariat avec la Trade School Genève, Shyft Genève vous invite cordialement à la projection du film ''Open Sesame: Story of seeds'' (avec sous-titres en anglais). Une des ressources les plus précieuses au monde est en danger. Ce documentaire poignant éclaire sur ce qui se passe et ce qui peut être fait pour protéger la source d'une très grande partie de ce qui compose notre nourriture : Les graines ! Les graines sont essentielles à la survie, tout comme l’air que l’on respire ou l’eau que l’on boit … pourtant on ne leur donne pas l’attention qui leur revient.

Venir à une projection offerte par Shyft ne veut pas juste dire venir et s'asseoir pour voir un film avec d'autres personnes, c'est aussi une super opportunité pour rencontrer des gens qui pensent et qui partagent les même intérêts que vous. En effet, ce qui est différent avec Shyft, c'est qu'à la fin de chaque projection, nous invitons des acteurs (particuliers, start-ups, ONG, etc.) à présenter un ou plusieurs projets locaux qui travaillent à des choses similaires à ce qui est présenté dans le film. En tant qu'audience, cela VOUS donne donc une opportunité de ne pas être passivement spectateurs uniquement, mais de devenir, si vous le souhaitez, des participants actifs au changement. L'idée c'est de canaliser l'inspiration qui a pu être éveillée en vous pendant le film dans des initiatives intéressantes et locales.
Le prix symbolique de 5 fr va UNIQUEMENT aux producteurs du film pour payer les droits de projection.

This timely and emotionally moving documentary illuminates what is at stake and what can be done to protect the source of nearly all our food: SEEDS. Seeds provide the basis for everything from fabric, to food to fuels. Seeds are as essential to life as the air we breathe or water we drink…but given far less attention.

Coming to a shyft screening does not mean you sit around and watch a film together but it is a unique opportunity to meet like-minded and like-hearted people in your own communities. Best part of the every shyft screening that we introduce one or several local initiatives/ start-ups/ organisations - working or doing something similar to what the documentary/ film speaks about. Thus giving YOU, the audience an opportunity to not just be passive listeners but active participants of the process of change and channel your inspirations at the end of the film into these initiatives with whatever you can offer at the moment.
shyft is a communal social enterprise where we support indie and small budget filmmakers for the inspirational meaningful movies they make and empower them further to make more such along the way for more of us to watch, learn and take conscious action. Therefore all funds collected here as a small ticket price go into buying Public Performance Screening rights from the film makers. We of course welcome you to give whatever you can so we can sustain shyft further.
Ticket price: minimum donation 5CHF (the donation is ONLY to pay the right to project the movie)
